Sermon Series - Transformation of the Heart
Heart

One thing you notice as you talk to someone living a transformed life, is that they don’t always focus on the past. It is easy for us to point back to times that God moved in a powerful way in our lives. There have been times God brought us through the loss of a loved one, sickness or a difficult time in our marriage. There are times where we know we followed the direction He gave us. Those were special times where we experienced God working in our lives. But what is happening in our life today?

The difference in a Christian who is living a transformed life and a Christian who is not, is what is happening in their life now. For those living transformed lives, they want to tell you what God is currently doing in their lives. Sure, there are things in their past that are very special, but they are constantly seeking God’s will for their lives and following Him each and every day.

I look forward to our time together Sunday as we explore what it means to know and do the will of God. Between now and Sunday, take time to seek the Father and ask Him if you are doing exactly what He wants you to do. Also, please pray daily for our Pastor Search Committee and Youth Pastor Search Committee as they seek God’s will for our church.

Pastor Tim

Prayer Meetings Scheduled

GOOD NEWS!!! For all who have requested more corporate prayer meetings: Beginning Wednesday, February 7, 2007, we will be meeting the first Wednesday of each month to pray together as a church body. This will be an exciting time as children, youth and adults come together to lift our praises and petitions to God's throne. Plan now to set aside this time in your heart and on your calendar. This time of prayer and worship will take the place of the regular worship service in the Holland Chapel. (Only on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.)

Note to the leaders of CiA and Mission Friends:    Everyone, including the children, will meet at 6:30 p.m. for the Prayer Meeting in the Holland Chapel. The CiA and Mission Friends children will be excused shortly after the beginning of the meeting for their regular activities.

News and Announcements

Do you have news and announcements for Sunday Morning? If so, please send them to: news@frontstreet.org or call the church office by Thursday morning of that week. We will insert your announcement into our slide show presentation before the service begins. Please be sure to include any clipart or photos.

Preschool and Children's News

Children's Church Workers Needed!
We have a need for four adult leaders/teachers for the month of May. These positions have not yet been filled and we desperately need willing adults to work in this special ministry. If you are interested please see Kim Sharpe or Karen Shea.

Children in Action (grades1-3) will be collecting funds for the poor and needy of Croatia during the month of February. The people there are in extreme poverty and rely on the farm industry for income. We will use the money to donate a farm animal to a family in Croatia. We would like to invite the entire church to help us with this mission. Details for donating towards this mission project will be available in next week’s Link.

Parents of Babies and One year olds: We need your family picture! We need to update our family pictures in these classes. Please be sure we take your picture within the next few weeks. If you or other family members will be unavailable for this, please email a picture to karen@frontstreet.org. THANKS!
