 A Word From the Pastor

Last night at the family business meeting, the church body voted to adopt the Vision Proposal and we also approved the Unified Budget, Nominating Committee Report and the Deacon Nominations. Thank you to everyone who worked so diligently on the budget and the nominating committee process. Thank you also to all of you who have agreed to serve this coming year. There are many things happening at Front Street and we must remain dependent on the power of the Holy Spirit.

This coming Sunday is Homecoming. We are very blessed to have Rev. Rodney Hellard coming to bring our Homecoming message. Please pray for Rodney as I am sure this will be an emotional time for him. Rodney shared with me that he is looking forward to being with us. Homecoming is one of those great days where we not only get fed spiritually, we get to share in some of the best food on both sides of the Mississippi.  If anyone would like to participate in a cook-off, the staff is willing to serve as judges (especially in the dessert area).

Sunday is going to be a special day as we celebrate Front Street's 97 years of being on mission with God. I pray that her future will continue to build on her rich heritage.

Looking forward to worshipping with you Sunday!
Pastor Tim

 Children in Action

Christmas in August

During the month of August, our Children in Action groups will be involved in Christmas in August.   Many have participated with this mission project in the past and are aware of the impact it has had on missionaries' lives.    This year, both CIA groups (1-3) and (4-6) will join efforts to collect items for missionary Oscar Sanchez.  Oscar is a missionary in Fresno, CA.  The following items will be collected during the entire month of August.  Please drop off your items at any of the "Christmas" collection boxes around the church.

We look forward to seeing what God will do through this opportunity to serve!
