 A Word From the Pastor

This past Sunday we began a new journey through the book of John. How awesome it is to dig into God's Word and see how deep and rich it is. I hope that you will take some time in your personal study to read through the book of John. As I shared this past Sunday, John stated the purpose of this book in John 20:30-31 - And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

Please join me in praying that God would use His Word to lead those outside of a relationship with Christ to saving faith in Him. Let us also pray that He will use the book of John in the lives of believers to strengthen our faith, encourage obedience and deepen our love for Christ. This coming Sunday we will cover John 1:6-13. I look forward to our time together in worship and the Word!

Pastor Tim

 Adopt-a-Village

Praise God!  Our church has now received enough money for us to adopt two villages in Bihar, India.  This will provide: a well, literacy training, a bicycle for a church planter, 200 Bibles, hymnals, and a medical clinic in each of the two villages.  Our church will also be paying the salary for a church planter that will work with these two villages as well as other villages.  Thank you, church, for your sacrifice in getting the good news of Jesus Christ to the other side of the world.  To God be the glory!

SYBA Iredell County Fair Ministry

The SYBA churches will be ministering to the carnival workers by providing snacks, meals, haircuts, and attending to medical/dental and clothing needs. Although we witness as their needs are being met, we have found that the most productive time for witnessing is from 11:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m., when the carnival workers are off. We need for you and your church to provide meals during the day and especially ask men to volunteer to minister and witness during the 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. time period. To volunteer or to make a donation, please call Sandy Harrison at 704-873-4372 ext. 6 or Mary Jane Hoover at 704-873-4372 ext. 3.
