Several mission trips are coming up in the next few months.  If you are interested in being a part of any of these, please contact Kenny Lamm this week.  The international trips need many months of preparation time, so we need to know your intentions as soon as possible.  Please contact Kenny about any of these trips this week (klamm@frontstreet.org). 

Ministry with Graffiti Church in New York City - Our team will travel and work with a team from West Charleston Baptist Church to provide ministry to the inner city of New York City.  To learn more about Graffiti Church's ministry, view their website.   Dates: November 22-29, 2008  (Thanksgiving Week)   Cost:  Approximately $300
 

Medical Mission Trip to Honduras - The team, composed of 1-2 physicians, 3-5 nurses, a pharmacist, two interpreters, and a few support personnel, will provide a medical clinic to a very needy area of Honduras.  Group may not exceed 12 people.  Dates: February 25 - March 5, 2009    Cost: approximately $1,200 - 1,500

Youth Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic - Youth camps, puppet shows, mime presentations, street evangelism, orphanage work, public school assemblies, feeding the hungry, painting churches, sports evangelism, tract distribution, and youth rallies are a few of the ministries our youth group can do.  Score International will host the trip. This trip is for youth who are currently in the 9^th-12^th grades.  Dates: June 13-20, 2009    Cost: approximately $1,000 - 1,200 (depending upon airfare)

Front Street Members,

My name is Heath Stone and I am a member here at Front Street Baptist Church.  I would like to invite our entire church family to participate in a night of praise and worship on Saturday October 25, 2008 at 7:00PM in the West Iredell High School Auditorium.  This event is being held, first of all, to celebrate and thank God for the miracle of Justin Holt's life, and secondly, to raise money to help with his ongoing medical expenses.

Justin, a 17 year old senior at West Iredell, was involved in a very serious car accident on May 30^th of this year.  He had to be airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center and spent several weeks in the trauma unit.  Since his release from the hospital he has had several surgeries and he still faces future surgeries. He also continues to receive speech and physical therapy.  Justin, his parents, Darrel and Lisa, and his sister, Amber, are also members of Front Street Baptist Church.

I am a student at UNC Charlotte and a member of the UNCC Baptist Campus Ministry Praise Band which will be in concert along with the band In His Name. Scott Stewart, my Sunday School teacher here at FSBC, will also be speaking.  I have talked with each band member and we all feel led to use our talents that God has given us to help this family.  The cost of admission is $5.00 and all proceeds will go to the Holt family.  We hope that you will prayerfully consider attending this concert. 

If you cannot attend the benefit but feel led to help financially, a fund has been set up through the Benevolence Fund at FSBC.  Make checks payable to FSBC and designate as Justin Holt Fund.  DO NOT WRITE JUSTIN HOLT FAMILY ON THE CHECK; instead include an attached note or write it on the outside of an envelope with your donation inside.
