Business Meeting this Sunday

We are still trying to figure out the best schedule for our business meeting time since Wednesday nights are no longer the best time. In October, we met on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 and realized that was not the best time. For our Sunday business meeting, we will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Sanctuary.  AWANA and youth will be shortened to accommodate this time. I hope everyone makes an effort to attend, as this will be a great time to hear from our ministry areas as well as discuss what is happening in our church family.

New Member's Class

The class will begin Sunday, February 1, at 9:00 am. If you have not contacted the church office about being in this class, please sign up by calling Jessica 704-872-7623 or emailing jessica@frontstreet.org.

This Sunday

Our sermon this Sunday is going to focus on the transition that took place in the ministry of Jesus once He healed the man by the Pool of Bethesda. The key verse is verse 16 which reads: For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath. Please take time this week to focus on John 5:16-30. Notice the response of Jesus and the things that He claimed about Himself.

I am looking forward to our time together Sunday and I pray that you all have a Christ centered and Spirit filled week!

I love you!

Pastor Tim

It's heartbreaking, but every day 3,300 women end their pregnancies with abortion.  They believe it's their only real option.  Imagine facing that decision - without support, without answers.  Is it any wonder why so many pregnancies are terminated?

As believers, we have the opportunity and privilege to share God's truth with women who find themselves in this situation.  We can offer compassion and hope for the future.  This is the work of our local pregnancy center.  By extending care, support and encouragement, we believe a woman's life can be changed forever - for the good.

This month, as a church, we are collecting change or money of any kind, in baby bottles to be returned at the end of the month to donate to the Pregnancy Resource Center of Statesville.  We also have collections sites within the church for diapers (sizes 0, 1 and 2).  If you did not pick up your baby bottle this Sunday - please start collecting your change and pick one up next week.  This is a wonderful way to involve the whole family in a local ministry project!

"Your frame was not hidden from me when I made you in the secret place."

Psalm 139:15

Children's Sunday School
(Grades 1 - 5)

Children's Sunday School (grades 1-5) begins in the fellowship hall with worship promptly at 9:05 am.  Children will be dismissed from the Fellowship Hall by 9:15 to go to their classrooms.  If you arrive later than 9:15, please take your child to their classroom.

Parents: PLEASE keep in mind that ALL children need to be picked up by 10:15 to attend worship.  Our teachers need to have time to get to the sanctuary, choir, nursery, and other ministry areas.  Thank you!

Medical Missions Trip to Honduras

Our church Is sending eleven people to Honduras in February to run a week-long medical clinic at a Baptist church in Choluteca, helping them to reach their community.  The physical and spiritual needs are great in Honduras.  We are working with the Honduras Baptist Convention in partnership with the NC Baptist Men.  We have one doctor, five nurses, a pharmacist, a pharmacy technician, an interpreter, and two additional workers participating in this mission.  We will be hiring a Honduran physician to work with us who will also help coordinate our efforts with the Honduran healthcare system.  Additionally, we will be hiring two Honduran interpreters to help us with communication in the work of the clinic.

Each participant has been asked to cover their expenses with personal funds and possibly by raising support through friends and family.  Each person is also contributing to additional costs of the trip.

This is where you can help out.  The cost of needed medications and supplies to use in our clinic's pharmacy is over $2,500.  We also have purchased Spanish New Testaments and other literature.  In addition, there are expenses of hiring a doctor and two interpreters.  All together, the expenses of the clinic (not including the expenses of the participants) are totaling over $4,500.

If you would like to help us reach Honduras with the good news of Jesus Christ through this medical clinic, you may make a contribution to the clinic's expenses by simply marking Honduras Missions on your check made out to the church.  Or, click this link to make a donation online:  http://fsmissions.info/Donation.html

Any donation you make will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
