A Word From the Pastor

Prayer Sanctuary

I am so excited that our church now has a place set apart for prayer. This has already become a special place for me as I have encountered the Father on several occasions. I hope that everyone will take advantage of this beautiful place with the words of Psalm 63:1-2 in our hearts: O God, You are my God, earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You, my body longs for You, in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. I have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and glory.

We would like to have at least two or three people each week to spend time in prayer (in the Prayer Sanctuary) during the morning worship service. If you would like to be part of this prayer team, please notify the church office by calling 704-872-7623 or emailing info@frontstreet.org . In signing up, please indicate if you would like to serve monthly, quarterly or something else.

I am thankful for what I see God doing in the prayer ministry, and my hope is that we become a church saturated by prayer!

I am the Bread of Life

Over the next three weeks, we are going to be looking at the claim of Christ that He is the Bread of Life. The miracles of Christ were spectacular, but His words and His claims are where we find the true meaning of His coming to earth. Join me in praying for our time of worship together Sunday as we examine John 6:22-40.

Pastor Tim

Meet Me at Luigi's

We have a wonderful opportunity to support our youth missions trip to the Dominican Republic and enjoy a great meal and show.  Our youth are putting together a  dinner theatre production entitled, Meet Me at Luigi's.  The cost of the meal and show is $10.00 per person.  All proceeds go to help with expenses of the youth missions trip.  Each person going on the trip needs to raise an additional $700 through this fundraising event, donations, and personal payments.

The show has an evangelistic appeal, and it would be great for you to buy tickets and bring your unsaved friends, co-workers, and neighbors.  Sunday School classes may wish to buy tickets for their NB Mills teacher and his/her spouse to attend.

Three performances are scheduled on Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 21st.  Tickets will be available at church in the breezeway and outside the back door.

Thank you for your assistance in this.

Our church will be going on a missions trip to Red Springs Missions Camp on the 12th of March.  You can make a big difference in the life of a family living in substandard housing. We will be leaving the church parking lot at 6:00pm and returning to the church on Saturday night March the 14th.  Please sign up and list your abilities in home construction and maintenance.  We will also need you to bring your tools to work with.

Areas of work include:

  • Carpentry
  • Electrical
  • Painting
  • Plumbing
  • Masonry

The cost of the trip is $15.00 per day.  You will need to bring sheets and towels as well as other toiletries you require.

Medical Missions Trip to Honduras

Our church Is sending eleven people to Honduras in February to run a week-long medical clinic at a Baptist church in Choluteca, helping them to reach their community.  The physical and spiritual needs are great in Honduras.  We are working with the Honduras Baptist Convention in partnership with the NC Baptist Men.  We have one doctor, five nurses, a pharmacist, a pharmacy technician, an interpreter, and two additional workers participating in this mission.  We will be hiring a Honduran physician to work with us who will also help coordinate our efforts with the Honduran healthcare system.  Additionally, we will be hiring two Honduran interpreters to help us with communication in the work of the clinic.

Each participant has been asked to cover their expenses with personal funds and possibly by raising support through friends and family.  Each person is also contributing to additional costs of the trip.

This is where you can help out.  The cost of needed medications and supplies to use in our clinic's pharmacy is over $2,500.  We also have purchased Spanish New Testaments and other literature.  In addition, there are expenses of hiring a doctor and two interpreters.  All together, the expenses of the clinic (not including the expenses of the participants) are totaling over $4,500.

If you would like to help us reach Honduras with the good news of Jesus Christ through this medical clinic, you may make a contribution to the clinic's expenses by simply marking Honduras Missions on your check made out to the church.  Or, click this link to make a donation online:  http://fsmissions.info/Donation.html

Any donation you make will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Your Honduras Medical Missions Team

Resource Center

Dear Supporting Friend,

Thank you so much for your generous and faithful gift.  What a blessing to know that you have partnered with us to show God's unconditional love to women (and men) in their time of crisis.

Last year alone, we ministered to over 200 new clients in addition to the ones we were already seeing.  Most of them are single and under the age of 24.  In 2008, we had 79 precious babies born to clients; and we have the privilege of offering ongoing support to them throughout the coming year.

We also ministered to 17 clients who were definitely abortion-minded, and 10 of those women chose life after coming to our center for counseling!  We also had 11 women make decisions for Christ.

What an awesome year; and this year, already, we are well on the way to surpassing those numbers.

We just wanted to let you know how your gift is making a difference not only for the present, but for eternity.  Thank you.

Serving for Eternity,
Victoria Miglin, Director

Kleenex BoxFebruary is Kleenex Collection Month for N.B. Mills School

This month, we will be collecting Kleenex for N.B. Mills School.  We will not be collecting items for Teen Challenge as previously published.  Teen Challenge has relocated outside of our area.  We do plan to continue financially supporting them at least through the remainder of this year.  However, due to their new location, we will discontinue any monthly missions collection items for them.

Any items you may bring in intended for Teen Challenge will be donated to the South Yadkin Baptist Association to help needy families.  Thank you for your faithfulness in missions!
