A Word From the Pastor

Meet Me at Luigi's

Our youth have an awesome opportunity to participate in a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. As you know, mission trips can be very costly, but the benefits far outweigh the cost. One of the ways our youth are seeking to raise support for this trip is through a dinner theater called Meet Me at Luigi's. This event is March 20th and 21st here at Front Street. I hope you and your family will consider coming out for the interactive dinner theater. I also have another special request. I would like to for you to consider inviting a friend or a couple to bring to the theater. By purchasing their tickets, you will not only provide them a great meal and some entertainment, you will also provide them an opportunity to hear the Gospel. What a great opportunity to introduce friends and family to Christ!

I Am the Bread of Life - Part 3

This Sunday will conclude our 3 part series on the Bread of Life. In our passage, John 6:60-71, we are faced with the reality that some will turn to Christ while others turn away from Christ. The crowd loved to follow Jesus when they saw miracles and were fed. But when they were faced with a decision to submit to Him or turn away, there were many who turned away. The cost of following Christ is great. In the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:13-14, Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Please join me in praying for our time together Sunday as there will be those who will be making that decision. May we all be able to answer with the words of Peter when Christ asked if the disciples wanted to go away. Peter responded in John 6:68, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Praying for our time together Sunday!

Pastor Tim

 40 Days of Prayer:

Day 8 - Wednesday, March 4

Pray for Wednesday evening activities at the Church; Children's and Youth Bible Drill, Youth and Children's programs, and Adult Small Groups.  Pray for the leaders in these activities, that they would reflect God's love and compassion in these ministries.

Please continue to pray for Pastor Kenny and the Honduras Medical Missions team as they treat patients and minister to their spiritual needs.

Meet Me at Luigi's

We have a wonderful opportunity to support our youth missions trip to the Dominican Republic and enjoy a great meal and show.  Our youth are putting together a  dinner theatre production entitled, Meet Me at Luigi's.  The cost of the meal and show is $10.00 per person.  All proceeds go to help with expenses of the youth missions trip.  Each person going on the trip needs to raise an additional $700 through this fundraising event, donations, and personal payments.

The show has an evangelistic appeal, and it would be great for you to buy tickets and bring your unsaved friends, co-workers, and neighbors.  Sunday School classes may wish to buy tickets for their NB Mills teacher and his/her spouse to attend.

Three performances are scheduled on Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 21st.  Tickets will be available at church in the breezeway and outside the back door.

Thank you for your assistance in this.

 Young at Heart March Meeting!

The March meeting of the Young at Heart will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, following Senior Adult Choir Rehearsal.  Our program will be presented by Eddie McLelland and lunch will be catered by Box Car Grille at the cost of $2.25 per plate.

Join us for a time of fun, food and fellowship!
 N.B. Mills March Teacher Treats

The second Monday of March is just around the corner!  If you need assistance in delivering your treats to the school by Monday, March 9, please bring them to the Pre-school 5 Sunday School classroom on Sunday, February 8.  Thank you for your help in this mission outreach!

  • Painting
  • Plumbing
  • Masonry

The cost of the trip is $15.00 per day.  You will need to bring sheets and towels as well as other toiletries you require.

How to Become Part of the Front Street Family

First, we would like to thank you for your interest in Front Street.  Before becoming a member, we feel that you should truly understand our heart and vision before you join our church family, and the new member's class is designed to help you have a clear understanding of your new church family.

Please note that you are not required to join Front Street after attending the New Member's Class.  In fact, you will not be pressured in any way to join.  We want to encourage you to continue to seek God's will on whether He desires for you to plant your life here with us.

The new member's class is a four week class, held during the Sunday School hour.  The next class will be held  in May.  Those dates are May 3, 10, 17 and 24.  To sign up for the class, please contact the church office at (704) 872-7623 or email Pastor Tim at tim@frontstreet.org.
