A Word From the Pastor

Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips. For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts. (Isaiah 6:5)

Immediately upon seeing the LORD, Isaiah was overwhelmed by the sinfulness of his heart. That word undone literally means ruined. In that moment as he saw the King of Glory, Isaiah saw the depths of his sinfulness. As painful as this was for Isaiah, he could not be the prophet he was called to be until he was cleansed by God.

Too often, Christians are so busy with life and even serving God, that we fail to take time alone in the presence of God, and we fail to deal with the sin in our heart. I would like to ask everyone to fast 1 day sometime between now and Sunday, asking the Father to reveal Himself to us, and to make us aware of our sinfulness.

Hear the words of the prophet Hosea: Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you. You have plowed wickedness; You have reaped iniquity. You have eaten the fruit of lies, Because you trusted in your own way, In the multitude of your mighty men. (Hosea 10:12-13)

Pastor Tim
 40 Days of Prayer:

Day 21 - Tuesday, March 17

Pray for Pastor Jeremy Miller and his family; wife, Michelle, and children Emily, Brett and Nathan, that God would bless their family as they minister to the Youth here at Front Street.

Meet Me at Luigi's

We have a wonderful opportunity to support our youth missions trip to the Dominican Republic and enjoy a great meal and show.  Our youth are performing a  dinner theatre production entitled, Meet Me at Luigi's.  The cost of the meal and show is $10.00 per person.  All proceeds go to help with expenses of the youth missions trip.  Each person going on the trip needs to raise an additional $700 through this fundraising event, donations, and personal payments.

The show has an evangelistic appeal, and it would be great for you to buy tickets and bring your unsaved friends, co-workers, and neighbors.  Sunday School classes may wish to buy tickets for their NB Mills teacher and his/her spouse to attend.

Three performances are scheduled on Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 21stTickets are still available for the Friday night and Saturday lunch performances.  Contact Pastor Jeremy if you would like tickets.

*Saturday evening has been sold out!*

Thank you for your assistance in this.

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions

Why Give to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions?

Because three of four people in North America are lost. One hundred percent of dollars given to the AAEO go to support over 5,000 missionaries and their ministries in the United States and Canada. Through the next weeks, our church will be celebrating North American Missions.  Don't miss out of this special time of learning how Southern Baptists are living with urgency and sharing Christ the U.S. and Canada.

North American Missionaries

Though their stories and methods are different, they share a common urgency for sharing the gospel with North American. Whether it is starting a new church, meeting the needs of the homeless, leading worship at a ski resort, or leading Back Yard Bible clubs, missionaries depend on the faithful prayers and generosity of Southern Baptists. Please pray for our missionaries and give generously to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering®.

Our Church's Goal

Our church's goal for North American Missions is $5,000. Please pray that God will lead you in your sacrificial giving.

2008 Contribution Records

How to Become Part of the Front Street Family

First, we would like to thank you for your interest in Front Street.  Before becoming a member, we feel that you should truly understand our heart and vision before you join our church family, and the new member's class is designed to help you have a clear understanding of your new church family.

Please note that you are not required to join Front Street after attending the New Member's Class.  In fact, you will not be pressured in any way to join.  We want to encourage you to continue to seek God's will on whether He desires for you to plant your life here with us.

The new member's class is a four week class, held during the Sunday School hour.  The next class will be held  in May.  Those dates are May 3, 10, 17 and 24.  To sign up for the class, please contact the church office at (704) 872-7623 or email Pastor Tim at tim@frontstreet.org.

THANK YOU:

It felt so good to be back in worship with my family at Front Street Sunday.  I just want to thank all of you for the cards, notes and most of all the prayers during the illness and death of my father.  It means so much to know I have a caring, loving church.  Please continue to pray for my mom as she tries to make this adjustment after 70 years of marriage.  Thank you again.
