A Word From the Pastor

This coming Sunday is our collection day for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. I really sense God calling us as a church to step out in faith and give in such a way that it honors God and makes a statement about what we truly value. I have been so thankful for how Front Street has given to the Toy Store and Gideon's International. The more than $10,000 we have already given makes a statement about our commitment to making Christ known. The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering finances half of the entire Southern Baptist missions budget every year. I pray that we are able to far exceed our goal of $17,000.

This past Sunday we began to explore what it looked like to have Immanuel, here on earth. I am blown away with the fact that God became a man in Jesus Christ. Please take time this Christmas season to read through the great Christmas text, Matthew 1 and Luke 2 and rejoice as did the shepherds at the coming of the Son of Man!

Beginning Sunday, December 6, you can place your Christmas cards in the collection boxes located throughout the church.  Instead of paying postage, you can make a donation to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering.  Offerings for the delivery of cards can be placed in the offering plate.  Please mark your envelope or check "Lottie Moon". Children in the T&T Awana club will make deliveries on Sunday, December 20.

How to Become Part of the Front Street Family

First, we would like to thank you for your interest in Front Street.  Before becoming a member, we feel that you should truly understand our heart and vision before you join our church family, and the new member's class is designed to help you have a clear understanding of your new church family.

Please note that you are not required to join Front Street after attending the New Member's Class.  In fact, you will not be pressured in any way to join.  We want to encourage you to continue to seek God's will on whether He desires for you to plant your life here with us.

The new member's class is a four week class, held during the Sunday School hour.  The next class will be held  in January.  Those dates for the adult class or for the children's class are January 10, 17, 24 and 31.  To sign up for the adult class (which includes youth), or to sign your child up for the children's class, please contact the church office at (704) 872-7623 or email Pastor Tim at tim@frontstreet.org.

Celebrate Recovery Family Christmas Party Monday Night at 6:30!

This is an exciting week upcoming for Celebrate Recovery.  We are having our CR Family Christmas Party on Monday, December 21 at 6:30pm.    Everyone is invited!  We will have fun, food, music and praise.   Our band, Kindred Spirits, will be providing Live Praise Music and lots of Christmas Caroling.     Also, we will have Open Mike Night where anyone can share anything on their hearts.    We want to extend a special THANK YOU to the New Life Sunday School class for assisting with our party and providing desserts.  This Sunday school class rose to the challenge and we appreciate their servant hearts.     Be sure to mark your calendars and join us for a Happy, Holiday Celebration.   If you have questions or would like to assist us, please contact Dan or Brenda Thompson at 704-779-7094.
