This
past Sunday we talked about three things that will mark the
lives of those who abide in Christ. First, our lives will be
marked by a radical love for one another. I pray God will help
us as a church body to truly love one another as He has loved
us. Second, our lives will be marked by a radical obedience. I
pray that God will help us to obey Him completely in all
things. Finally, our lives will be marked by a radical
opposition from those in the world. May we remain faithful as
we are hated and persecuted for our faith in Jesus Christ.
This
coming Sunday we will cover John 15:26-16:15. Since we began
in chapter 14, Jesus has been seeking to bring comfort to the
disciples in their time of uncertainty. He provides them
another reason for these words in John 16:1 - "These things I
have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble."
Praise God that He has sent the Holy Spirit to come alongside
of us through all situations and to keep us from falling.
I
am looking forward to our time of worship. I love you church
family and I am excited about what God is doing in our church.
On behalf of the staff, I would like to say thank you. Thank
you for your prayers and the privilege to serve alongside
you.
Love
you guys!

How to
Become Part of the Front Street Family
First, we
would like to thank you for your interest in Front
Street. Before
becoming a member, we feel that you should truly understand
our heart and vision before you join our church family, and
the new member's class is designed to help you have a clear
understanding of your new church family.
Please
note that you are not required to join Front Street after
attending the New Member's Class. In fact, you will not
be pressured in any way to join. We want to encourage
you to continue to seek God's will on whether He desires for
you to plant your life here with us.
The new
member's class is a four week class, held during the Sunday
School hour. The
next class will be held
in April.
Those dates for the adult class or for the children's
class are April 11, 18, 25 and May 2. To sign up for the
adult class (which includes youth), or to sign your child
up for the children's class, please contact the church
office at (704) 872-7623 or email Pastor Tim at tim@frontstreet.org.

Movie Night at
CR We will be
showing Fireproof and
serving Hot Spicy
Chili and Hot Chicken Wings

This is a movie that has inspired many
people with struggling marriages.
About
FIREPROOF
At
work, inside burning buildings, Capt. Caleb Holt lives by the
old firefighter's adage: Never leave your partner behind. At
home, in the cooling embers of his marriage, he lives by his
own rules. Growing up, Catherine Holt always dreamed of
marrying a loving, brave firefighter...just like her daddy.
Now, after seven years of marriage, Catherine wonders when she
stopped being "good enough" for her husband.
Regular arguments over jobs, finances, housework,
and outside interests have readied them both to move on to
something with more sparks.
As the couple prepares to
enter divorce proceedings, Caleb's father challenges his son
to commit to a 40-day experiment: "The Love Dare." Wondering
if it's even worth the effort, Caleb agrees-for his father's
sake more than for his marriage. When Caleb discovers the
book's daily challenges are tied into his parents' newfound
faith, his already limited interest is further
dampened.
While trying to stay true to his promise,
Caleb becomes frustrated time and again. He finally asks his
father, "How am I supposed to show love to somebody who
constantly rejects me?" When his father explains that
this is the love Christ shows to us, Caleb makes a
life-changing commitment to love God. And with God's help
begins to understand what it means to truly love his wife.
But is it too late to fireproof his marriage? His job
is to rescue others. Now Caleb Holt is ready to face his
toughest job ever...rescuing his wife's
heart. |

THANK YOU:
Thanks so much for praying, because Sandy's back
surgery Tuesday morning went very well and she can sit
comfortable now. Her hospital stay will be 3 or 4 days
and then she will come home. The doctors's emphatic
instructions are DON'T FALL. It is so nice to have her
be in high spirits once again.
