I
praise God for the overwhelming sense of His presence this
past Sunday. I feel as though He has given us a glimpse of His
glory. My hope and prayer is that each time we leave the
service that we can walk about not talking about the elements
of the service, but about the God of our worship. Please join
me in praying that each time we leave, we leave with a sense
of awe and wonder at who God is.
As you study our passage for this
Sunday, John 17:20-26, please take note that as Jesus Christ
faced the cross, He prayed for you in this prayer. This was a
specific prayer for every person who would come to faith in
Jesus Christ. Hours before His death, Jesus Christ had you on
His mind. Hours before His death, He was interceding for you.
This passage gives us a glimpse of Christ's love for us. The
Apostle Paul prayed in Ephesians 3:17-19," that Christ may dwell in your
hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in
love, may be able to comprehend with all
the saints what is the width and length and depth and height
to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you
may be filled with all the fullness of God."
Though we will never be
able to fully comprehend the love Christ has for us while we
are on this earth, this prayer in John assures us that it is
extraordinary. In your study time, please note the two main
requests that Jesus makes on our behalf.
Praying for Sunday,

How to
Become Part of the Front Street Family
First, we
would like to thank you for your interest in Front
Street. Before
becoming a member, we feel that you should truly understand
our heart and vision before you join our church family, and
the new member's class is designed to help you have a clear
understanding of your new church family.
Please
note that you are not required to join Front Street after
attending the New Member's Class. In fact, you will not
be pressured in any way to join. We want to encourage
you to continue to seek God's will on whether He desires for
you to plant your life here with us.
The new
member's class is a four week class, held during the Sunday
School hour. The
next class will be held
in April.
Those dates for the adult class or for the children's
class are April 11, 18, 25 and May 2. To sign up for the
adult class (which includes youth), or to sign your child
up for the children's class, please contact the church
office at (704) 872-7623 or email Pastor Tim at tim@frontstreet.org.

You are
Welcome at Celebrate Recovery
Help for all
Hurts, Habits and Hang-ups
Every Monday Night
Meal 6:30 - 7:00
p.m. Program 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
This week at Celebrate Recovery we will be learning
Step 1/Principal 1: POWERLESS "Realize I
am not God. I admit I am powerless to control my tendency to
do the wrong thing." I know that nothing
good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I
have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it
out." (Romans 7:18). This is a repeat of a previous
lesson because we have many new people coming to CR and those
need to begin working our steps with us.
Join us in the Fellowship Hall Monday at 6:30 for
good food, great fellowship and experience the Love of Christ.
You are always welcome to come fellowship with us and show
others God's love through your participation and
service. If you are looking for an active place to
witness for the Lord, Celebrate Recovery is the Place to Be
and we would love to have you! For questions please call
Dan or Brenda Thompson at 704 779-7094
The purpose of Front Street Baptist's Celebrate
Recovery ministry is to encourage fellowship and celebrate
God´s healing power in our lives through the "8 Recovery
Principles." This
experience allows us to "be changed." We open the door by
sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one
another. We
support each other but cannot FIX each other. We become willing to
accept God´s grace in solving our lives´ problems. Celebrate
Recovery is based on God's Word, the Bible and emphasizes
personal responsibility and spiritual commitment to Jesus
Christ. We utilize
biblical truth that we need each other in order to grow
spiritually and emotionally. By working and applying
these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We
become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional
behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most
important, a stronger personal relationship with God and
others. As we progress through the program we discover our
personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power - Jesus Christ,
the one and only true Higher Power.
Anonymity and Confidentially is KEY and
unconditionally required for all participants.
